So here are a few things that will actually help reduce cortisol (hint: not a drink or pill)
I mean let's start by not being bombarded with all of the horrific things happening all over the world every minute of every day.(I'm talking about social media, people... there’s a whole world out there that’s not on your phone.)
Getting great sleep
Talking a slow walk in nature (or a walk on the beach!)
Breathing exercises
Using non-toxic skincare(toxins in skincare increase your stress burden, disrupt hormones, and nervous systems)
Prayer and meditation
Rescue a dog (I’m serious! Research clearly shows that time spent with pets reduces cortisol levels.)
Do more of what you LOVE! (dancing, singing, roller skating, quilting, cornhole, etc!)
